Hyderabad’s Gongadi Trisha Shines in U-19 Women's T20 World Cup

Gongadi Trisha, who played a key role in India’s victory at the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup in Malaysia, returned to Hyderabad on Tuesday and shared her thoughts with the media. She expressed her satisfaction over being named the Player of the Tournament and credited her success to rigorous preparation and strong support from her family, coach, and teammates.

Upon arrival at Shamshabad Airport, Trisha was welcomed with enthusiasm by fans and cricket officials. Speaking to reporters, she reflected on her journey, highlighting how she had fewer opportunities in the previous edition of the tournament but was determined to make an impact this year.

“I didn’t get many chances last time, so I decided to give my best performance this year. It was a challenge, but I worked hard from the start. We adapted to Malaysia’s pitch conditions through extensive practice sessions, which helped us perform well,” Trisha said.

The young cricketer highlighted the collective effort behind India's success in the tournament, stressing that pre-tournament preparations played a crucial role in their comfortable victories. She also acknowledged the encouragement she received from her family and mentors, which motivated her to achieve peak performance.

Trisha’s outstanding contributions throughout the competition helped India clinch the title with dominant performances. Her consistent all-round display earned her the Player of the Tournament honor.
